My family will be visiting Taiwan in just three weeks. I can’t really tell if our sons are excited about the trip since they have never visited Taiwan before. This will be our first trip as a family. The previous trip we took was way back in 1998, 2 years before my wife and I got married. Nevertheless, the two brothers are taking turns marking the x’s on the calendar.
This trip is for sure long overdue. We have thought about making the trip in each of the past 3-4 years but our sons were very little then. They wouldn’t be able to remember much if at all, had we taken the trip when they were less than 4 years old. The airfare has been a key factor, too. It’s just too high to be affordable. Days of fares in the low $700′s are long gone. At just over $3,000 for a family of four, we have decided to suck it up and purchase the tickets.
Our shopping for the trip is about done. In the next week or two, we ought to pack up the suitcases just to see if all things necessary can be safely packed without exceeding the luggage allowance.
3 more weeks to go!
